Hermit Havenga,
my familiar and confidant.
It is to you I turn when things get tough.
Thank you for reminding me that I am enough.
We shut the door as we step inside the mind, the mood, the magic.
In Solitude, not loneliness – a grace that we ought to chase.
With you, I’ve discovered, that strong foundations never faulter,
and that risk reaps reward.
When yesterdays and retrogrades
call for shedding and second glances,
you become the keeper of my greatest fears, my thoughts, and actions.
Be kind to your body. Eat well, move more and hydrate.
Walk it off on the path of least resistance. Less fighting, less fear.
The inner-sage knows the way – of every action, every day.
What is meant for you will never pass you by.
So, shoot for the stars and put a spring in your step.
Feed the Birds. And the bees. Put pebbles in water (for a soft landing) if you please.
Dearest, Thank You for lending an ear to hear the stories behind the scenes.
For sharing the silence where the big magic is done.
Your redirection is protection; and I am grateful that you call me out.
That’s what friends are for.
We are in this together. You and Me, We.
In service to Wonder and Awe,
Johanica Havenga
